The story behind the look

For her 2024 US Open return, Osaka worked with Nike and Yoon Ahn on a look inspired by the transformation of a magical girl. The green day kit brought her affection for Japanese fashion to the court through ruffles and playful detailing.

Osaka’s collaboration with Yoon Ahn included two custom competition kits: green for day and black for night. She wore the black version for her second-round match against Karolina Muchova.

The performance dress belonged to a larger entrance ensemble: a walk-on skirt and jacket carried the most exaggerated proportions and oversized bows. The complete look was designed around both personal expression and the demands of her game.
