The story behind the look

Williams designed the yellow dress herself, placing a plunging V above two high slits in the skirt. Underneath, skin-tone fabric created the illusion of more exposed skin while providing coverage.

She explained that the slits were central to the visual effect. The reconstruction keeps the underlayers as textile, not a visible body, and records the outfit as worn in Melbourne.
