The story behind the look

Williams’s New York wardrobe paired pink leopard print for daytime matches with a darker leopard version at night. The all-over pattern gave the fitted sleeveless dress its identity; the reconstruction here matches the photographed pink colourway.

The Nike dress was also offered at retail. Its place here comes from the audacious animal print and Serena’s day-and-night styling, rather than a claim that it was a one-off couture garment.
