The story behind the look

Williams helped shape this Nike outfit from her own sketches, connecting its bare-midriff silhouette to pop culture and performance style. A canary-yellow crop top with small cap sleeves sat above a sharply pleated skirt.

Black edging outlined the neckline and sleeves. The design also reached retail, but its striking proportions and Williams’s role in developing it made the Melbourne look distinctly hers.
