The story behind the look

For the 2005 US Open, Sharapova wore an ice-blue Nike dress traced with vivid yellow piping. The straps formed a deep V over a shallower inner neckline, creating a layered geometric front.

Yellow lines also marked the under-bust and dropped-hip seams, with another flash beneath the flared hem. The dress turned its seam structure into the main decoration.
